Pyrolysis oil

Pyrolysis oil is a synthetic fuel used as a substitute for petroleum obtained by the pyrolysis process of heating dried biomass at 500℃ and subsequent cooling process. It is a complex blend of 200 different depolymerized components. Although the oil is similar to light fuel oil in its combustion characteristics, there are considerable differences in the ignition. The viscosity, energy levels, stability, ph, and emission levels are varied from other oils.

The applications of pyrolysis oil are,

  • Combustion in boilers
  • Fueling engines and turbines
  • Renewable feedstock for chemicals

  • Hot Water Generators
  • Hot Air Generators
  • Thermic Fluid Heater
  • Electric Generators ( pyrolysis oil mixed with 50% diesel)
  • Diesel Pumps (pyrolysis oil mixed with 50% diesel)
